Church’s liturgy saves an important role to the signs and to the participant’s clothing, because it is the celebration of the meeting with the alive God in words and images, in symbols and actions. The festive clothing conveys faith and worship of those who commissioned, wrapped and wore it. The carelessness symbolizes, indeed, the lacking and weak faith. The solemnity and beauty of the clothing, in particular those worn on Sunday to attend church worship , express a deep and intense sense of delight for our faith in Christ’s resurrection. In effect Christ rose again on Sunday and it is proper to commemorate with joy and happiness this main event of Christian Faith.
To walk in procession is a collective statement of faith and worship, expression of common prayer, sign of belonging to the Church and scatological trust.
