VIRGIN'S CLOTHING

In some processions are seen parading the so-called "Madonnas dressed", are statues carved in wood (mostly mannequins light suitable to be easily transported) who wear sumptuous clothes, demonstrating their spiritual splendor.
We see them "move" in the crowd as real characters, like the statue of Our Lady of Sorrows parading in the Good Friday procession, marking the most important moment for the brotherhoods devoted to Our Lady.
Typically the Madonnas have popular features of a earthly beauty and not idealized due not only to the use of flashy clothes made with embroidery and precious fabrics to profane, but also faced with the natural colors of the complexion, with eyes of glass and the wigs made of real hair.
Before the procession takes the ritual of dressing the Madonna.
This event is a very moving ritual and private, almost secret, of one or more sisters who gather around the statue to undress and dress gown daily with sumptuous clothes and solemn ceremony.
At the end is adorned with gold donated by the faithful, with the attention of those who moved as a daughter who is getting married.
